Macca joined the Bulldogs at the beginning of 2017 season after a decorated playing career at Golden Square and Huntly. He was a member of Golden Square’s premiership teams and his knowledge and previous coaching experience makes him the perfect successor from Gavin & Brad. Macca’s coaching philosophy, together with his commitment and experience ensures he is well-placed to take the Bulldogs to the next level.

Gavin continues to lead by example as an ultimate clubman and player. Having played his 200th Senior game for the Club this season, Gavin has a long list of accolades with the Bulldogs and has been a remarkable leader and will continue to do so supporting Macca in the coaching role.

Dylan bleeds the red, white and blue and has done since coming out to the club eight years ago as a teenager. As this year’s Reserves Premiership Captain Dylan’s leadership skills have been phenomenal. Dylan already has a strong knowledge of our playing list and his passion and enthusiasm for the coaching role stood out. We look forward to seeing him employ his strong ideas and plans for 2019 and beyond!

Nathan has successfully coached Pyramid’s young pups to premierships in 2017 and 2018 and this year he looks to cap off a hat trick performance with three in a row. Nathan is also heavily involved at the Bendigo Cricket Club as the Senior Coach. Nathan’s leadership and professionalism with the young pups is critical to our long-term success, sustainability and creating the desired ‘team first’ culture at the Club. A teacher by trade and past premiership player with the Hill in 2013, Nathan is a great asset to the club and we look forward to seeing him work his magic once again in 2019!

The only thing arguably more exciting than our seniors being 4 and zip into a season where we’d been written off, was the reintroduction of our half-time game for the little tackers of our club. It was uplifting to see 30 of our next generation kids out there putting the skills they’ve been learning each Thursday night into practice. These kids are the future of our club and we hope that in years to come we see the same passion and determination they demonstrated yesterday in our 18 & Under, Reserve & Senior teams.

Getting the half-time match back up and running was no mean feat, thank you to all of our parents that assisted in any way, shape or form. Special thanks to our 2018 Auskick and Sporting Schools coordinator Kelly Gould (also C Reserve netball coach – is there anything this woman can’t do?), coaches Chris Cain and Ashley Gould, and helpers Mitch Gunther and Marcus Fergusson. We look forward to watching our little superstars having a run most home matches at Pyramid Hill.
