U/18’s
With finals not too far away, our boys showed some terrific ball movement against Marong on Saturday. A dominant first quarter saw us hold a 28 point lead at quarter time, before a push came from Marong, who outscored us by a point in the second quarter. In the second half, we did not concede another score, and piled on six more goals before the final siren. Zac Dingwall’s grandfather informed us that he had an outstanding 43 disposals for the game, while Carlos Ly racked up numerous clearances. Ryan Salvador made the most of his time in the forward half, kicking 3 goals. Brad Moon was a key factor in our impressive ball movement, orchestrating plenty of switches throughout the game. We hope to keep building our form in the last few games of the season.

Was a big day for the boys coming off the bye and it was a slow start, going into the quarter time break at 1 goal a piece. We slowly got our game going but it is fair to say that it was bit of a grind. Eventually though we got the chocolates to win by 5 goals. Rhys “ The Truck “ Brown was doing it all, winning the hard ball and spreading to provide opportunities for the boys up forward. Ryan “ Shane “ Watson was pivotal on the wing and is becoming a real utility for the side. Big NATO Moon was dominating the ruck dual giving the boys first use of the footy all day. Connor “ Speedy “ Gibbons was running the wings up and back for the 4 quarters and was a solid outlet for the boys. Brad “ The Fossil “ Fawcett wound back the clock with bulk rebounding efforts and setting the boys up around the ground, he was all class. Coming off the bye and a loss to Mitiamo the boys were hoping to bounce back into some form. Unfortunately we jumped out the blocks slowly and we were 4 goals down at quarter time. After our poor start we were chasing our tails for the rest of the game. In the end going down by 36 points. Matthew “ KB “ Klein Breteler had a great game rebounding for the half back line and getting plenty of the ball. Braidy “ Dicko “ Dickens was a shinning light up forward booting 4 goals and was a great target all day. Steven “ Smooth “ Gunther was running all over the ground and can hold his head high after another great game. Billy “ The Kid “ Micevski was clinical out there, all class by the great man, he worked hard all day for the boys. Evan “ Doz “ Dorrington provided plenty of run and his bulk hard ball gets, boy oh boy it was a great game by the young man. Young Jimmy Sala ran everywhere, breaking lines and spreading well to provide an outlet for the boys. Hopefully the boys have a great week on the track and bounce back next week. Woof Woof #upthe1s.

MINIS
The girls had lots of scoring opportunities in the first quarter, allowing Alina and Matilda to get plenty of play in the attacking goal ring. The second quarter saw play continue in the attacking ring with Ellie and Charli shooting well. The highlight of the third quarter was Sophie’s long shot at goals that went straight through the ring! The midcourt girls worked hard to keep the ball at Pyramid’s end. The awards went to Matilda Matthews and Shamika Castro.
UNDER 13’s
The Pyramid girls started the game like they were still on holidays and it took them awhile for their mojo to start. Hayley had amazing defensive pressure in the last quarter. Though the Pups came away with a win, the girls hope to go stronger next week! Pyramid Hill 13 df Marong 9.
UNDER 15’s
After a slow start, Pyramid led by 1 at quarter time and going into the second quarter saw the girls find their mojo and led 27-16 at half time. The Pups continued great game play and maintained accurate shooting for the last half of the match which got them the win. The awards went to Ava, Kearley and Danica. Pyramid 50 df 34.
UNDER 17’s
The Doggies burst out onto the court with a fantastic first quarter leading 19 to 1 quarter time. Accurate shooting by the goalers and good passes saw the girls with a substantial 36 to 3 at half time. Another sound quarter saw Pyramid leading 45 to 8 as the whistle blew ending the third quarter. At the final change, a switch around of positions was done with Kara playing in GS and Ella in C. The Doggies took home the win 64 to Marong’s 11. The award went to the whole team for their brilliant game play.
C RESERVE
The Ressie girls were pumped for an exciting game against Marong, determined to take home the win. Vicky and Mik dominated in the goal ring, shooting accurately and with Mik face planting the court, Tylah had a run in GA and had some beautiful shots. Jan and Em worked fantastically in defence, applying great pressure against Marong’s shooters. The midcourt saw newcomer Danielle Shay absolutely kill it and proved her consistency and hard work all over the court, earning her best on for the match. The Ressie girls took home a well deserved win 37 to Marong’s 20.
C GRADE
The girls knew it would be a tough game against Marong, but they came out strong in the first quarter with the A team shooters Kirra and Hannah on fire in goals. Kirra continued her hot streak and had her eye in barely missing a goal, with defenders Coach Kell and Jess up for every rebounds. The mid court had great plays down the court but the girls started to fall short with a few mistakes. The girls continued to fight hard, not dropping their heads but Marong were the better team on the day. Best on went to C grade’s star shooter Hannah Mullins. Pyramid Hill 24 df by Marong 33.
B GRADE
The B grade girls fought hard against a fast moving Marong side and with a handful of girls away and new position changes, the ladies rallied and pulled together 4 solid quarter of game play. They didn’t walk away with a win, but walked away with a tan with the shining winter sun. Best on was awarded to Georgia Holland, stepping up and smashing out a consistent 4 quarter of netball. A GRADE
The A grade match was a fast paced game, with lots of opportunities for Pyramid and Marong. Despite the ladies in red, white and blue maintaining their effort, Marong put in the extra hard work taking advantage of Pyramid’s loose balls that came their way. Best on was awarded to Gemma Scott. Pyramid Hill 27 df by Marong 37.
