Matt “ MM “ Moon was amazing down back taking bulk intercept marks and is a vital cog down there. Mitch “ De Goey “ Dingwall  booted 5 goals and is in rare form in the forward half. Brad “ The Fossil “ Fawcett is winding the clock back,  he was breaking lines and setting up scoring opportunities, like a fine wine the great man is getting better and better with age. MINIS
Today was a fun, great and enjoyable day for the Pyramid girls. Serpentine ran onto the court with an abundance of joy. Cecily was shooting goals like there was no tomorrow and Laura sprinted down the court and into the goal ring to help out. Thank you Serpentine for a great game. The awards went to Cecily and Alina.UNDER 15’s
A challenge was set for the Dogettes today to increase their defensive pressure, attacking options and shooting accuracy. They took this task on with great enthusiasm and intensity. Coach Vicky was pleased with how the girls challenged themselves and continually backed each other’s plays all over the court. A fantastic win today Dogettes! The awards were given to Danika Wagner and Jorja Holborn. Pyramid Hill 70 df Serpentine 2.
C RESERVE
A close start to the C Res game with Inglewood leading by 3 at quarter time. Em and Loz gathered a few intercepts, with Morgs and Kirra feeding the ball into Mik and Tylah in goals. Tylah shot well, with some nice long range goals. Kirra ran hard all game and consistently intercepted well. Inglewood’s defence was impenetrable at times and they extended their lead in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. The Doggies were down by 8 with one quarter to go. Coach Kel made a change of Jan into goals to try to break through the defence and win some rebounds. The change paid dividends, with Mik scoring 9 goals for the quarter. At the final whistle the home team trailed by 6 goals. Pyramid Hill 25 to Serpentine’s 31. The award was given to Jan Farrell for her hard work at both ends of the court.
C GRADE
The girls came out ready to win their third game of the year! With gun goal shooters Hannah and Katey having their eye in barely missing a goal meant the girls were ahead at every break. The Pyramid girls were on fire with plays down the court and mutltiple intercepts were taken by Becca Gunther who got best on. Everyone played a great game and was a well-deserved win. Pyramid Hill 40 df Serpentine 26.
B GRADE
B Grade had another tough game this weekend. As always, the Doggies kept fighting until the last second but they couldn’t come away with a win losing to the Bears. Chelsea Emerson was awarded best on having a great game in the midcourt. Pyramid Hill 24 df by Serpentine 39.
A GRADE
The girls came out having nothing to lose and started off strong only trailing by 1 at the first break. All players fought hard, with defenders getting a hand on nearly every ball and getting a number of turn overs. The Serp ladies stepped it up in the 3rd quarter stretching their lead to 10 against the Doggies. Pyramid pegged back a few in the last quarter but it wasn’t enough for a strong Bears team. Pyramid Hill 24 df by Serpentine 39. Best on went to Hayley Hipwell for her brilliant defence in the goal ring against the Bears.
